Programme Description
The Bachelor of Theology Honours (BTh) is a one-year postgraduate degree which grounds students in classical theological subjects at an in-depth level. This programme also includes a strong emphasis on ministry competency through both research as well as practical exposure. This is also the qualification that is required for ministerial recognition in most denominations including the Baptist Union of Southern Africa. Students may extend the duration of this qualification if they would like to.
Entry Requirements
NQF Level 7 (360 credits) in Theology (or equivalent).
Further Study Opportunities
Students who complete the Bachelor of Theology Honours (NQF level 8) are able to articulate horizontally (on the same NQF level of study) to similar programmes offered by other institutions or vertically (to the next level of study) into the Master of Theology (NQF level9) programme within the College. Articulation possibilities for further studies on NQF level 8 or where an NQF level 8 qualification is required for admission into a programme at other accredited institutions are available.
